BI Manager

BI Manager Job Description




A. Roles and Responsibilities:





1. Ensure 24x7 operation and availability of business systems and all interfaced systems.

2. Provide management with analytical reports from all business area via BI web (COGNOS)

3. Design and test the Data warehouse

4. Responsible for the data availability and the recovery plan.

5. Support strategic improvements in all technical areas of system implementation, support and enhancement.

6. Enforce application database standards, procedures and data security.

7. Work with extended Infrastructure team to implement application and database changes, installation of upgrades, patches and resolve any cross function issues/bottlenecks.

8. Manage Backup/Restore plan and execution and make sure of their reliability.

9. Develop DB and ERP infrastructure testing plans.

10. Data warehouse management.





B. Profile:



• Disciplined, loyal, energetic, dynamic, result-oriented, pro-active, team player and hard worker.

• Fluent English speaking and writing.

• 5+ years as an Oracle Applications DBA (w/11.5.10 experience)

• 5+ years of experience with COGNOS BI Administration

• Managing multiple Production and Development Oracle Applications environments of different releases

• Specific hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Applications 11i, (Financials, Manufacturing, Distribution, APS (Advanced Planning), MRP, WMS/MWA) 11i

• Full Applications 11i lifecycle support. Installation, Configuration, Upgrade of Oracle Applications 11i.

• Strong in depth experience in database performance tuning, SQL tuning.
