Description • Responsible for day to day support of Large Oracle Databases, capacity planning for large databases and performance tuning for databases, this includes change and problem management, and general administration, i.e. housekeeping /maintenance /capacity management. • Installation; backup and recovery; configuration management; security; monitoring and tuning of Oracle Databases • Performs ongoing monitoring for database activity and file usage tuning of the database instances and ensures necessary resources are present • Candidate with proved extensive experience managing Oracle databases and analyzing and resolving data related issues in UNIX environments. • This role will have significant responsibilities in Oracle database management including patching, securing and performance tuning. • Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied operational metrics and functional data. • Develops and analyzes functional and operational data, performance reports and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies; creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. • Plans, implements and maintain Disaster recovery solutions, including Backup and standby DBS • Provides technical support to application development teams. • UNIX Shell Scripting and SQL Performance Tuning.

Qualifications 1. Oracle Certified: Oracle Database Administrator OCP , Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Applications Database Administrator Certified Professional (Optional). 2. University or Technical Institute Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent.
