Description The candidate will be responsible for providing economy related input to a Combined Renewable Energy Study for Egypt (including developing a renewable energy framework, a feasibility study, etc.). The candidate will be part of a team identifying and evaluating the factors which have an impact on the economic potential for various scenarios of wind and solar energies utilisation in certain parts of Egypt. The candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with the relevant task forces including Wind Energy Experts, Solar Energy Experts as well as Legal and regulatory experts.

Qualifications University degree, in economics or related subjects Analytic skills Presentation, communication and reporting skills Long-term professional experience within the energy economy sector, 5 years experience in the relevant RE economy Experience with relevant RE technologies Experience with similar studies Specific professional expertise Experience with energy pricing for conventional and RE Experience with energy subsidy schemes, taxation and regulatory procedures In depth knowledge of the energy markets, particularly the electricity and fuel market Working experience in Egypt would be an advantage.
