Description • Prepares and processes requisition forms, recommends vendors. • Verifies budget and availability of funds • Contacts and receives informal quotes from appropriate vendors; compares costs and evaluates the quality and suitability of equipment, materials and supplies. • Coordinates purchasing details with vendor and the Purchasing Department, including pricing Revisions, order cancellation and invoice discrepancies • Prepares requests for removal and disposal of surplus items • Reviews and develops commodity specifications • Reviews procurement documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance • Compares prices and identifies the lowest responsible bidder for direct purchases. • Contacts appropriate agency for status of purchase requisitions and bids • Checks receiving record and delivery receipts against merchandise received to insure correct order has been delivered • Notifies the departments their order has been received

Qualifications • Minimum 2-3 years experience in purchasing • To prepare records and reports • Ability to analyze and problem solve. • Ability to communicate on a technical level with other members of the organization. • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Excellent use of time management

Other Skills Very good user of Microsoft Office
