Description -Manages and schedules the Presidents workload. Supervises the Admin. Officer, within the same office, who is responsible for scheduling. The EA ensures that the President is daily briefed on the days schedule and on upcoming events; provides needed background info.; and ensures that the President is in the right place at the right time. -Anticipates the Presidents role in regular Univ. events, works with the relevant Univ. offices to ensure the smooth coordination of Graduation, Convocation and other Univ. events, including timely invitation to outside speakers, observance of appropriate protocol for visiting dignitaries, etc. -Ensures that the President appropriately recognizes annual holidays and observances and working with the Office of Comm., managing regular greetings from the President, thank yous, etc. -Ensures that the Presidents calendar is up-to-date. -Monitors the ‘AUC President– email daily, ensuring timely alerts to the president of important messages, and prompt responses. -Coordinates with the Univ. Cabinet and the Provosts Council to ensure timely and effective coordination of institutional advancement and other meetings and travel. -Coordinates timely booking of flights, visa applications, and hotel accommodations with the AUC offices or outside organizations sponsoring travel, is responsible for the provision of needed background info. and for completing expense reports for reimbursement after the trip when necessary. Qualifications Minimum education requirement: A bachelors degree in management or communications is preferred. Experience: At least ten years of work experience, including at least five years of experience supporting senior managers. Work experience in both the US and Egypt is highly desirable.
