Job Description:
Under limited supervision;
· Responds to and diagnoses complex hardware, software, and network problems varying in difficulty through discussions with end-users or through hands-on support for PCs, servers, mainframe applications, and hardware.

· May be assisted by electronic help desk tools and problem management systems.
· Interacts with vendors and other functional teams in order to restore services and correct core problems.
· Responds to, diagnoses, configures and deploys hardware in accordance with agreed upon SLAs.
· Simulates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
· Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems.
· Acts as a liaison to the Customer Services Team.
· May assist lower level specialists or coordinate responsibilities of team.
· Handles special projects as needed.
Key Skills Required:
· Knowledge of network communications and electronic mail administration.
· Working knowledge of Wintel Environment. Skilled in supporting Windows platform and Microsoft Suite, PC software, hardware and peripherals, UNIX, LAN/WAN, messaging, telecommunications, and NSM Tools.
· Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications / Education:
Essential; Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalent. Min. 5+ years of industry experience.
Desirable; A+ Certification in Basic Network Techniques / MCSE. Knowledge of switches and routers.
