Purpose and scope of the role:
 The ideal candidate will be a travel professional who knows the in’s and out’s of the industry. Your remit wi
ll be to take responsibility for the local business in Egypt and work closely with all supporting departments and the Head of New Markets to make this company Egypt’s market leader.

Key performance areas:
 • A solid understanding of the Egyptian business and travel environment and accompanying regulations
 • Coordination of supply for all airlines where no Pan African deals can be sought: forming relationships with the top selling airlines (as identified by head office); entering into deals/incentives with the guidance of the Supply Relationship Manager at head office
 • Overall supervision, provision of guidance and leadership to team members in order to meet the overall company objectives in terms of the annual new markets plan
 • Rolling out all aspects of the office set up from providing specific research (e.g. payment providers, legal requirements, bank account set up) to scouting for office space and recruiting a small supporting team
 • Understanding the competition and constantly staying abreast of their local movements with regular report back to head office
 • Coordination of all offline marketing efforts by instruction and guidance from the Head of Sales and Marketing at head office
 • Identifying business opportunities within the local markets whilst mitigating risks
 • Providing proactive input on improving website content, SEO, blog content etc, coupled with a keen understanding of social media and how to leverage this in the market
 • Ensure the set objectives are delivered on time and in line with budget and company objectives; candidate should be familiar with reporting back to an internationally based organization.
 • Mentoring, training and motivating local customer service and ticketing staff
 • Focus on costs and revenue improvement
 Skills and experience:
 • Extensive travel industry experience, preferably travel agency manager, Airline GSA or from a GDS; ideally previous experience or contact to Egypt Air
 • Preferably tertiary education Customer and sales focused - experience in driving sales figures and customer satisfaction

• Fluent in English and Arabic both written and verbal
