Description Telecommunication & Applications Officer, University technology Infrastructure (UTI) — Installs, configures and trouble-shoot telecommunication equipment, including switches, servers, GSM gateways and other devices. — Troubleshoot and solve telecommunication problems of all connected users. — Operate and trouble-shoot campus-wide telecom systems. — Acts as second level support and assist support staff in handling high level problems. — Reports to the Assoc. Director on plans, projects and other functions. — Assist in managing contracts with Telecom Egypt, Internet service providers and mobile phone service providers 
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: B.Sc degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent Experience: • 5-10 years experience in IP telephony systems administration. • Good knowledge of telecom equipment and operations preferably Cisco and Nortel • Knowledge of Windows operating system, TCP/IP • Excellent knowledge of PC and telecom software and hardware Skills: • Excellent communication skills • Excellent command of the English language. • Ability to work under pressure, on shifts, overtime and on weekends
