Required Urgently: Graphic Designer & Layout Artist
Responsibilities:
- Handles the look of a publication, build advertisements and graphics and use photos and other forms of artwork to create covers and inside pages.
- Fully responsible for the structure and layout of elements in printed media, such as magazines, brochures, catalogs, posters and fliers.
- Meets with editors, circulation directors and advertising managers to coordinate the appearance of their upcoming issue.
- Decides on and create things such as typefaces, color, position, fonts and formatting for the publication's cover, headlines and stories, and how each of those elements will best be tied together.
Qualifications:
- Must be creative and possess strong communication skills, considering he/she has to relay her design ideas to editors and other managers.
- Sometimes he/she will need to take someone else's idea, such as a client who wants a certain look to an ad, and build on it.
- Should be organized and professional, and must be able to work well alone or as a member of a team.
- Should be aware of printing concepts and quality to oversee possible complications and to prepare production accordingly.
- Must be able to use these softwares on a highly professional level; Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in a publication company (magazines, etc...) or an advertising agency.
