Farm Manager

Farm Manager
 Reporting to Chairman & CEO
 
1)         Directs and coordinates agricultural activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, payroll, and record keeping.
2)         Coordination growing activities in terms of engineering, equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments.
3)         Managing commercial activations of the farm including negotiations with corporate customers and sales of crops
4)         Analysis of market conditions to determine types of crops every season and plan production accordingly for the whole year
5)         Manage Green House and ensure 100% efficiency and functionality including system automation.
6)         Issuing purchasing requisitions based on farm requirements in coordination with procurement division in ARPIC HO
7)         Reporting duties to ARPIC HO including production, farm management practices, and parent stock, and prepares financial and operational reports to management in ARPIC HO. Such reports shall be prepared on Monthly basis
8)         Determines procedural changes in drying, grading, storage, and shipment for greater efficiency and accuracy.
9)         Analyses of soil in and out of green houses of the farm to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production “on frequent basis”.
10)       Inspects all equipment related to the Green Houses of the farm as well as outdoor agricultural activities to ensure proper functioning.
11)       Inspects orchards and fields to determine maturity dates of crops or to estimate potential crop damage according to season.
12)       Hires, discharges, transfers, and promotes workers in coordination with ARPIC HO, enforces safety regulations, and interprets policies.

Job Requirements:
 Educational Qualification         :  Degree in Agriculture / Agricultural Sciences / Agricultural Engineering or related field
 
•          Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing, and harvesting food products for consumption, including storage/handling techniques.
•          Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
•          Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
•          Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
•          Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution
