Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design website layouts and code/deploy HTML/CSS based websites.
Plan site architecture, conversion metrics, calls-to-action, and sitemaps.
Maintain and update existing websites.
Build hand-coded, standards-compliant HTML / CSS websites.
Convert designs into custom-themed WordPress websites.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Maintain coordination of event tracking (e.g. PDF, Video, etc.).
Support the entire design & marketing team as needed with duties such as, but not limited to: print projects, brand/identity creation, brainstorming, photography, etc.
Required Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
Experience working in a team / collaborative environment.
Required Experience & Education:
Experience with PHP/WordPress required.
Bachelor of Art or fine art in Graphic Design / Multimedia, or similar field is a plus.
1-2 years of professional experience designing, building & maintaining websites is required.
WordPress development and PHP knowledge is required.
Understanding of design, typography, UI, web standards and usability.
Proficient in all relevant software (Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio), Mac & Windows.
Experience working with Microsoft .Net, C# in Visual Studio and MySQL.
Experience in print design, branding/identity and other related fields.
Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
Knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools, Website Optimizer & Thematic Theme strongly preferred.
Experience with responsive/mobile coding is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and experience with jQuery & JavaScript is a plus.
Knowledge and experience using social marketing/networking channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, StumbleUpon, etc.) is a plus.
Knowledge of motion graphics / audio production / photography and /or editing is a plus.
Experience with shopping carts/e-commerce a plus.
