Roles and Responsibilities
* Build new systems with .NET 4.0 / ASP.NET / VB.NET / SQL Server 2008
* Develop new functionality on the organization’s existing software products
* Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule
* Testing and bug tracking experience Working with Open Source tools such as MySql and Subversion in a .Net environment An understanding of W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines
* Leading small, intermediate and large size projects
* Developing custom applications and modifying existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements
* Handling coding, debugging and documentation
* Supporting the QA group in developing test plans and test scripts
* Providing post-implementation and ongoing production support as an on-call programmer
* Part of the job will involve maintaining and improving our current in-house content management system and IT infrastructure
* Taking an active and leading role in the development of a new content management platform using the .Net framework
Qualifications and Educational Qualifications
* BSc. Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent years of experience

* Excellent oral/written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support interaction with internal customers, team members, and internal management
* An ability to work in a fast-paced / dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules
* Dedication to a collaborative working style and the ability to work well in small teams
* Forward-thinking with strong business sense
Required Technical Skills
* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management and low-level algorithm performance
* Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008, VB.NET, ASP.NET
* Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
* Ability to design and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures
* Experience with JQuery or similar technologies
