In Egypt, Shell celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011. It first entered the country in 1911 to operate two concessions in Gemsa and Hurghada. Today Shell has a number of joint ventures and interests in Egypt where most of its upstream operations are located in the Western Desert.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for:

a) All PT aspects of ongoing Bapetco operations (well testing,surveillance. restoration,optimization,facility debottlenecking).
b) QA/QC of all well intervention activities
c) Short-term production forecasting
d) Coaching/Mentoring local PT staff
e) Reviewing the completion design for all new wells
f) Well Integrity for all operational wells
g) PT input into ongoing development studies.

Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline;
Broad understanding of petroleum engineering;
Expert understanding of core production technology skills
Commitment to staff development and mentoring experience in a multi-cultural environment;
Communicate effectively across disciplines, department and companies;
Personal drive, ability to cope high work load peaks, good at priority setting, self-starter and willingness to work against tight deadlines;
Interpersonal skills and sensitivity to cultural differences are extremely important.
