UNIX Administrator (Outsourced to Vodafone):
Job Description:
• Maintain, follow up and sustain the continuous operation of the UNIX Server operating systems and all dependable applications and technically support his colleagues.
• UNIX System Administrator responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and expansions of servers
• Encompass all aspects of installing database software and maintaining application related for new or modifications of a legacy.
• High availability to troubleshoot problems encountered by database installation, creation, maintenance & tuning
• Review, test and audit batches or fixes developed for Oracle/non-Oracle before delivering to application and end-user for testing business/function requirements and assure quality assurance of delivered task.
• Participates in any other assignment of Oracle or non-Oracle software and performs related Department duties as required
General Requirements:
Software:
• UNIX, Microsoft, Oracle and network hardware and software management tools.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred or Computer Engineering.
Experience:
• 1-2 (juniors) & 3-10 years (seniors) relevant experience
• Good communication skills in English Language (Verbal & Written).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• The ability to quickly diagnose & resolve technical problems
