Planning Manager / Dairy & juice

Our client is a leading company in Cairo, Egypt seeking to hire Planning Manager / Dairy & juice with the below criteria:

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

•Prepare seasonal & annual plans of all crops & products under his responsibility, including but not limited to, product/land allocation, continuous assessment of existing plantations, improving/replacing/abolishing individual pivots, orchards, products, etc…;
•Have the ultimate responsibility of the overall viability and feasibility of the products/pivots/areas under his jurisdiction;
•Study the soil, weather, water and transport facilities, available machinery, staff, budget, possible improvements to existing conditions and anything else which might have an influence on crop optimization;
•Work with specialist consultants, product engineers & farmers to manage and improve crop production and soils, make efficient use of natural resources including water conservation, develop and use weed controls and maintain environmental quality;
•Conduct experiments or investigations in field-crop & orchard problems and develop new methods of growing crops to secure more efficient production, higher yield, and improved quality;
•Study respective crop production techniques to discover best methods of planting, cultivation, harvesting, and effects of various climatic conditions on crops;
•Develop methods for control of noxious weeds, crop diseases, and insect pests;
•Be responsible for the development and implementation of production systems with the ultimate aim of encouraging maximum economical production without harming the environment;
•Have the responsibility to choose the seasonal crops respecting the crop rotation rules for a longer term approach of improving the soil quality and reducing infectious diseases and apply the best harvesting techniques with an aim to reduce dependency on manual labor while increasing machinery use where possible to ensure a successful and high quality yield from the available land & orchards;
•Manage the daily, weekly & monthly documentation flow and be responsible of the timeliness & accuracy of the Purchase Requisitions, Payment Vouchers, Purchase Orders, etc…
•Manage the Agro Staff (managers & Supervisors) throughout their daily field applications as well as monitor and control their discipline and attitude towards their duties and responsibilities
• Disseminate best field practices in plant and soil management from year to year

Requirements:
Years of experience: at least 10 years of experience in a professional careers & min 3 years in the same post.
