Deputy Director
• Develop and implement professional programs to meet student career development needs.
• Manage an active employability skills development program
• Cultivate and engage employers to build an understanding of their industry and hiring needs, and
gain access to internship and career opportunities/networks for students seeking experiential learning
and employment.
• Design and develop career development workshops, career functions and events.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of career and recruitment services extended to students.
• Ensure the provision and quality of corporate services extended to employers.
• Participate in resource development and proposal writing to corporations.
• Recruit, select, orient, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff.
• Maintain communication channels with the university administration and employers.
• Work collaboratively with university administrators, student services staff, and faculty to ensure the
delivery of career development services.
• Monitor budget, operational expenditure, and income generated.
• Ensure marketing of ECDC programs through preparation of materials, brochures, etc.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in a related field
• Master's degree preferably in higher education, counseling or business administration
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in career development, human resources, or youths
training and development, including experience in supervising subordinates
• Successful track record of program planning and event organization
• Prior experience in coaching, counseling, training or teaching university students
• Previous community service experience is an asset
