Web Engineer

Linux-Plus Information Systems, one of the Middle East’s leading and largest IT solutions and services providers, has the following position in its development unit.


Job Title: "Web Engineer".

Description: You will join the development unit in developing management and integration solutions using open source technologies. You will be responsible of building state of the art modern Web 2.0 applications using modern web development frameworks such as Google Web Toolkit (GWT), SmartClient and YUI. We're seeking an engineer who combine strong Software Engineering skills along side Web Development skills.





Applicants requirements are:

Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines

Fresh graduate or 1 year of experience.

Completed/Exempted from military service (If male)

Strong knowledge of web development using Google Web Toolkit GWT (Preferably)

Strong knowledge of Javascript, Ajax techniques and DOM scripting

Strong knowledge in User Experience concepts and design fundamentals

String knowledge of Javascript / HTML / CSS

High artistic sense

Good knowledge of Java and preferably Python

Good knowledge of open-source web frameworks and development tools

Deep understanding of OOP concepts and preferably Design Patterns

Solid academic computer science background "Operating systems, Networks and algorithms".

Familiarity with Linux operating system is a strong Plus "You will not use/develop for Windows".

Practical experience with Agile Development processes, specially SCRUM is a plus

Open-source practitioner, contributions to open-source projects is a plus

Good English skills

Team player, self motivated, quick learner and passionate for technologies and innovation
