Description • Prepare online and paper documents to request services from other university departments or vendors • Handle applicant files in collaboration with the admissions office and other units to ensure rapid processing • Interact with students to assist them with registration and other administrative aspects of their curriculum • Assist in organizing and carrying out department-wide student meetings and sessions, including orientation • Maintain records on applicants and students, through use of Banner and department-specific systems • Develop databases in support of various departmental functions, including outreach partners • Support the department’s website • Supervise student assistants assigned to departmental tasks under the direction of the assistant to chair or chair • Assist in organizing departmental events to promote the programs and engage students • Maintain the stock of brochures and other promotional material and update this material periodically • Manage other administrative tasks as required by the assistant to chair or chair
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: BA in a related discipline. Experience: 4-6 years related experience in administrative work. Skills: • Excellent command of English, and Arabic both spoken and written • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with a wide variety of persons ranging from professional scholars in the field, community of Business Enterprise and Public Officials to undergraduate students. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent organization skills and Ability to prioritize and work under pressure • Tact, diplomacy and discretion • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, Photoshop) and knowledge of websites.
