Roles and Responsibilities
* Lead the technical design and development efforts of SharePoint-related engagements
* Development and delivery of web based applications to successfully design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code for web based applications and sites.
* Effectively integrate web applications with other enterprise systems
* Participating in troubleshooting issues and reported errors and providing technical support on escalated issues
* Coordinate knowledge transfer from development partners to in house development teams, and mentor and lead junior staff members
* Demonstrate a high level of SharePoint expertise and capability
* Work with Project Mangers and Technical Leads to provide task estimates and discuss technical options
* Keep Project Managers and Technical Leads informed of any potential issues as they arise
* Understand and contribute to technical specifications
* Ensure a high quality standard is maintained in the solution developed on the allocated project by following coding and testing practices
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
* BSc. In Engineering/Science or equivalent years of experience

* Ability to work with other developers, sharing knowledge between peers and within the general workforce
* Team player and excellent communication skills
* A pro-active approach to work tasks, relying on initiative and a wider understanding of the project deliverable
Required Technical Skills
* Extensive professional experience in a Software Developer role
* Solid understanding of MOSS 2007 architecture
* 2 years of relevant hands-on development experience with SharePoint portal (workflows, web parts, and custom pages)
* 2 years of experience developing in a .NET environment
* Proficient in C#, SharePoint 2007, and .NET Framework
* Strong knowledge of web development (XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, DOM, XML, and XSLT)
* Experience with .NET 3.0 technologies including WCF, WPF, and WF, SharePoint 2007 development
* Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and web services
* Experience with Agile Development Practices
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project needs, and work under tight deadlines
