Job Title: Gas Process Engineer

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provides expert advice and assistance on operating problems relating to area of expertise.
Specifies design criteria and relevant operating parameters for development of new projects within area of expertise.
· Participates in project technical reviews and reviews proposals for new or changed operating procedures on area of expertise to ensure efficient and economic operations.
· Conducts economic studies on cost analysis as appropriate to resolve alternative causes of action relative to area of expertise.
· Acts as Task Force Leader as assigned to solve special problems in area of expertise.
Originates ideas for improvements, develops a basis for required field testing and Management review, analyses results and recommends new or changed procedures and/or facilities.
· Recommends designs and oversees suitable outside investigations to resolve problems which exceed current engineering knowledge in specialty.
· Represents Aramco in technical contacts with Shareholders and SAG representatives dealing with company procedures or proposed operations relative to area of expertise.
· Makes presentations to Executive Management, Shareholder Program Review, or various Shareholder Technical Meetings, as appropriate.
· Represents Aramco in dealings with manufacturers, vendors, outside consultants, etc. within area of expertise.
· Conducts seminars, prepares manuals, and trains and develops Aramco engineers and operating personnel in area of expertise.
· Participates in technical societies and technical groups in his area of expertise; represents Aramco on industry committees or specialized groups as appropriate.
· Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Unit Supervisor or Division Head.
Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience; Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering or any equivalent technical field with 10 years of Gas Engineering experience including 5 years of gas plant or refinery light ends experience,
or
Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemical Engineering or any equivalent technical field with 9 years of Gas Engineering experience including 4 years of gas plant or refinery light ends experience.
It is desired that the candidate has broad experience and of demonstrated ability and good judgment, and be an expert in a particular specialized area of Gas Processing Engineering.
Apart from the broader areas of Gas Engineering it is desired to have a specialized expertise, with applicable plant field experience, in one or more of the following; Gas Treating, Gas Conditioning including Dehydration and Dew Point Control, Gas Compression, Sulfur Recovery, and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Recovery (cascade refrigeration and cryogenic turbo-expansion).
