Description 1. Financial procedures — Prepare financial policies and guidelines and ensure they are being adhered to as set out in the company financial guidelines. — Initiate, maintain and develop thorough financial procedures for the organization including budgeting, expense monitoring, signing matrices, staff payroll, pension systems, invoice/payments etc. 2. Budgeting — Assist in the process of developing and reviewing budgets for internal counter parts. — Monitor deviations of approved budgets and report them to senior management with the appropriate recommendations. — Work on the development of the annual budget. 3. Financial Statements — Maintains financial records of expenses and revenues and leading the preparation of monthly financial statements leading to quarterly, half yearly and annual reports. — Liaise with the company external auditor to issue audited financial statements. 4. Corporate Responsibilities — Ensure that adherence of the company with external monetary/legal legislation and laws. — Form monitoring systems for all financial activities and ensure the applications of such systems as required.
Qualifications The candidate should be CA / CPA qualified,total years of exp. 10 years with at least five years senior accounting experience incorporating analysis and problem solving principles within a medium to lager organization. Financial services experience would be an advantage as is startup experience business environment. A hands on position that requires working knowledge of accounting disciplines such as, financial accounting, modeling, compliance reporting and budget preparation as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and systems. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
