Education: Experienced Chartered Engineer with extensive managerial background
Qualifications:
• Commercial approach to business management especially budgetary control techniques and capital expenditure evaluation.
• Good written and oral presentation skills are essential.
• Ability to work closely with the factory Production Manager and other Departmental Heads.
• Very good command of the English language
Experience: 15 years experience in the Sugar Industry (Cane, Beet and/or refinery) in an Engineering Position

Main Responsibilities:
• To liaise with the Production Department, in order to maintain process and utilities plant
• Ensures that preventive electrical, instrumentation and mechanical maintenance are planned and controlled
• Ensures that the engineering workforce is properly organized and trained, particularly in respect of the introduction of new technology, and in maintaining plant safety, safe working practices and product quality assurance standards.
• Ensures that the materials required for maintenance and projects are properly specified for procurement by the Purchasing Department
• To initiate capital expenditure proposals and provide an operating engineering input to proposals generated by other Departments
• Contributes to the revision of the engineering drawings of the projects, and provide management
• Provides advice to the Supply Chain Director with respect to the overall strategic direction
