The Regional Security Specialist’s primary function is the protection of information for the businesses and clients within their assigned region as well as the prevention, investigation and resolution of security breaches. Secondary tasks may include:
Participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies and control standards
Drive the security goals as established by stated policies, procedures and guidelines
Performing vulnerability assessments and other risk analysis as required
Conduct risk analysis designed to protect personnel, property and data resources
Engage with clients and Nielsen client service executives in remediating potential security issues and advising clients as to the benefits associated with Nielsen Security policies
Provide subject matter expertise in support of emergency events occurring with the assigned region
Review business continuity plan test results to ensure the protection of the people, property and data resources within the assigned region
