To assess and determine the power requirements for all premises & PoPs, based on the actual need of the various network & system devices operating in those premises & PoPs (collocated in Telecom Egypt's COs) to design the layout of electric installations for our premises & PoPs to supervise the installation, operation and maintenance of the UPS and generators in our premises & PoPs to review, at regular intervals, all existing energy contracts from providers like Telecom Egypt and the Egyptian Company for Power and determine whether they exceed the actual needs or are not sufficient to evaluate, rank and select all power-related equipment needed for facilities like Data Centers, Comms Rooms, PoPs to list the specifications (sales bill of materials) required for all purchase of materials and equipment to design, implement and maintain new deployments (and improve existing ones) of electrical instruments and components related to the power supply of network & system equipment to supervise a team of around two electrical technicians ultimately, to be responsible for the successful operation of all power devices
Qualifications & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical Engineering)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent interaction with other teams
- Capable to perform (and deliver) under time pressures
a true “can do” attitude is extremely important
Required technical skills set:
- Good knowledge of UPS
- Good knowledge of power generators.
- Should be able to work in shifts or after hours
- A minimum of 8 years working experience in a relevant position
