• Manages and supervises workers in installation and maintenance of machines and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings and plant.
• Provide technical support as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• Decides work schedule and sets priorities.
• Arranges schedules for machines repair, maintenance, and installation to avoid any delays.
• Manages and supervises maintenance on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Coordinates with engineering staff in developing preventive maintenance programs.
• Authorizes purchasing of tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Provides training needs analysis for workers to improve production.
• Discusses with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems.
• Prepares department budget and controls expenditure.
