Position: Project Manager / Solution Architect
Job Description:
• Responsible for managing large enterprise software projects from project initiation to delivery including the architecture, design and lead the development of enterprise software.
• The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, and will leverage his/her exceptional knowledge of software project management in addition to object-oriented, web-based development and advanced modeling techniques to implement scalable, multi-tiered applications.
• Responsible for project scope management, planning, execution, estimating and controlling project costs and budgets
• Technical leader for solution development, guiding development activities and reviewing product deliverables for functional, performance, and architectural conformance.
• He/she will specify and implement the development platform, methodology, and toolset.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Math, Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of experience in leading related product development programs or custom solution development.
• Extensive experience with software project management.
• Extensive experience with Web and Enterprise Application Integration architectures, with
• Significant experience in developing large-scale enterprise business solutions in a multiplatform environment including J2EE and Microsoft technologies; preferred domains are BPM, ECM, Portals and EAI.
• Provided end-to-end architectural and team leadership for at least one successful product release or custom solution.
• Legacy system integration experience required.
• Advanced modeling experience
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with J2EE and Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI).
• Solid knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) and UML.
• Familiar with industry standard J2EE and .Net frameworks and design patterns. Solid data architecture, RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), and XML. Able to adopt and extend industry standard schemas to meet complex internal and interface requirements.
• Experience with best practice user interface and navigation conventions.
• Significant experience in physical/implementation architectures to ensure scalable performance.
• The candidate will be working with other senior engineers and must have the ability and desire to contribute to a team effort in a fast-paced environment.
• The candidate must also be able to own, document, and communicate the system design. Strong leadership and oral/written communication skills are required. Must be able to communicate to external constituents (customers, partners, analysts, etc.).
