Purpose of job:
To provide testing & validation across the complete Software Development Life Cycle, to be involved in reviewing & validating business requirements, writing business test cases and performing, reporting and tracking test execution for project based work streams.
Key Work:
To develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases and scripts and to define test cases that elicit the required business behaviour
To evaluate functional requirements and use-cases to create functional test cases.
To work with project team leads and solution designers to review the testing requirements for each software release iteration and determine testing responsibilities and options.
To perform testing types but not limited to functional, regression, and system testing.
To use defect-tracking tool to upload the defects in the application, and be aware with the defect lifecycle.
To develop a feedback loop, continually looking at the product while projects are completed.
To document project activities and process documentation
To execute formal system verification and validation
Knowledge, Experience, Education required
Knowledge:
Business background in the related area of work (Banking, Telecom, E-Learning, etc.) – (Desirable)
Skills:
Ability to work with aggressive timeline and with lack of test plans, cases and scripts.
Ability to balance the needs of others while properly executing on assigned tasks and adapt to rapidly changing and evolving requirements
Education and Experience:
0 – 2 years of relevant experience
B.Sc. in Computer Science or a subject with system engineering background (Desirable - Post graduate diploma in information technology Or Certified Software Testing or Total Quality Management)
