This role contributes to and supports the overall Boeing International Support Systems (BISS) Saudi Arabia Finance and Accounting operations and handles complex accounting issues with multi-functional groups.


The position primarily supports BISS Finance local accounting and statutory reporting needs and broad company accounting and finance objectives. The accountant also supports timely accounting closing and consolidation process, including necessary statutory to US GAAP adjustments and local filings.

The Accountant will report to BISS CFO and will support Boeing Accounting organizations and Corporate Functions to ensure quality, compliant Boeing Financials and BISS Saudi statutory disclosures.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

1) Effectively interpreting and implementing specific financial guidelines (Boeing Company Procedures, Policies, US GAAP, Saudi GAAP, statutory, etc.).
2) Processing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, evaluating and applying effective internal controls and supports emerging requirements.
3) Working independently and in a team environment.
3) Ensuring the accuracy of accounting entries and account reconciliations by recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information.
4) Using experience and knowledge of Saudi accounting requirements and practices for BISS statutory reporting and audit needs.
5) Coordinating information needs and requirements for timely preparation of local statutory filings, GOSI disclosures and DZIT tax returns.
6) Supporting broader accounting initiatives by providing local guidance on accounting /related regulatory requirements, including accounting processes and development/deployment of new accounting systems and tools.
7) Coordinating Intercompany, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Asset Accounting, Revenue Recognition and Payroll Accounting for BISS, both in Arabic and English ledgers.
8) Supporting local expense accounting and segregation of cost (allowable, unallowable, etc.).
9) Handling necessary accounting transactions performed by BISS Operations Support Department for payments, local procurement, banking, etc.
10) Performing special projects as assigned by BISS CFO.


You should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

• Strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communications skills in Arabic (native speaker - fluency) and English.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handling both routine and complex accounting duties.
• Ability to handle and prepare underlying accounting data in support of Saudi statutory audits, GOSI disclosures and DZIT tax returns.
• Ability to handle broader accounting initiatives by providing Saudi GAAP guidance on accounting /related regulatory requirements, including accounting processes and systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication.
• Flexible and energetic person and ability to work different tasks at the same time.
• Good ERP and accounting systems skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
• Understanding of audit process and ability to work through issues with statutory auditors and tax advisors.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and ability to work within a time-constrained environment.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Do you have Bachelors Degree in Accounting from accredited university?
Do you have current legal authorization to work in Saudi Arabia?

Typical Education/Experience:

Required: 1) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from accredited university. 2) Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) Certification or similar certification. 3) 6 or more years related accounting experience in multinational global company environment, dealing with monthly accounting close and account reconciliation.

Desired: 1) Experience in aerospace or defense industries. 2) Big 4 or second tier accounting firm background. 3) MBA in Finance and/or Master Degree in Accounting. 4) Prior experience dealing with overseas home office accounting and finance organization.
