Description :
The candidate's responsibilities will be a network administrator installs the necessary hardware
and software to set up a computer network, and customizes it to meet the needs of the company
using it. Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members. Provide computer
orientation to new company staff.
If a network crashes, the administrator must work as quickly as possible, regardless of the hour,
to solve the problem and restore the network to operation. For a large network, the task of
updating and maintenance can require late hours and work on an irregular schedule.
Technical Skills:
Very Good knowledge of Linux Operating System from the Administration Level
Perspective is a must.
Good knowledge on Configuration and Implementation of common Linux Services
(Apache, MySQL, Postfix, Bind, DHCP, VPN, etc.) including its security mechanisms is a
highly appreciated asset
Very good Networking knowledge "CCNA is a plus"
BASH scripting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of networking experience.
Positive with a process oriented mind is required.
3-5 years of experience in Linux System Administrator.
Knowledge of a range of computer networking systems and languages, including UNIX,
Windows or other computer networks.
Knowledge Skills and
abilities:
Ability to: Ability to provide technical training to end users, and to learn and support new
systems and applications. Work with users requires interpersonal skills, ability to communicate
technical information to non-technical personnel, ability to install, configure and maintains
personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software. Ability to identify and resolve
computer system malfunctions and operational problems. Skill in organizing resources and
establishing priorities.
Skills in: Install/uninstall software packages and solve problems related to software (libraries,
dependencies, etc) inside Linux is a must responding effectively to customer service requests;
assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands; interpreting technical
instructions; effective oral and written communication in Arabic and in English; Individual is able
to work with minimal supervision and actively participate in a team oriented.
Must be ambitious, like to work hard, be highly motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced
environment.
Self-motivated, high energy, respectful, honest, hard-working and loyal team player.
